  • Friday 3rd December - Be Bright Be Seen & WPSA Donation Day

    Tue 30 Nov 2021 Mr Weatherall/WPSA

On Friday 3rd December, in conjunction with the WPSA donation day, we would like children to wear something to ‘Be Bright Be Seen’ to raise awareness of road safety now the days are shorter.

Whether walking to and from school, the shops, or walking the dog, during foggy and overcast days we should wear something bright coloured and something reflective at night to keep us safe. You might have a bag or rucksack with hi-visibility strips. Fluorescent and reflective armbands can be worn over coats and clothing, and stickers can be used on bags. Reflective dots on knees and ankles can really draw attention to keep us all ‘Be Bright Be Seen’.

On Friday, and in return please bring in the following donations towards the Christmas Bazaar:

Year R - sweets or alcoholic drinks

Year 1 - small unused gifts for the secrets room or alcoholic drinks

Year 2 - small unused gifts for the secrets room or alcoholic drinks

    Year 3 - sweets/chocolate or soft drinks

Year 4 - small used gifts for secrets room or sweets

    Year 5 - toys/books or soft drinks

    Year 6 - alcoholic drinks or puzzles/games

Any questions about the donations, please check with your WPSA year rep.

  • Children in Need - Friday 19th November 2021

    Fri 12 Nov 2021

Friday 19th November is Children in Need day and once again we are supporting the cause by having a non-uniform day. The children can wear whatever they like but they may like to show their support for Pudsey by including a spotty theme in their outfit. Please donate by following this Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/weeke-primary-school-children-in-need

We will also be raising more money for Children in Need by selling some merchandise straight after school on Thursday, outside the school office, including wristbands, pin badges and Pudsey ears. Prices will range from £1 to £2.50. If you would like to buy something in this sale, bring change as we will not have any. There will be limited stock; when it’s gone, it’s gone!

  • Street Lights on Stoney Lane

    Thu 11 Nov 2021

We have been made aware that the street and zebra crossing lights on Stoney Lane were not working at dusk yesterday evening. Please be extra careful when collecting your son/daughter from 16:30 on-wards, especially near the crossing until this is resolved.

This has been reported to the council.
