Where Does Your Money Go?

The school works every term with the WPSA to discuss opportunities to raise money where costs to develop areas of the school, curriculum and learning opportunities are too excessive for the school budget to manage. This may also include decisions around a joint venture where the school contributes as well as the WPSA.

During this academic year the money raised will be support in:

  • A large hall refurb project to improve the halls storage, audio visual, staging and overall appearance. We believe the children deserve a modernised hall that will allow them to take part in a range of activities during school time and after school hours.
  • The development of the outside area at the back of Key Stage One, to include an outdoor classroom, all weather outdoor facilities for Year 1 and 2 and an extended outdoor space for all children including after school club.
  • Contirbuting to the teaching of music in Year 2 with Listen 2 Me tecahing the children a musical instrument.
  • Improvments in the practical teaching room to help with the tecahing of food technology.
  • Supporting Year 6 as they end their time at Weeke Primary School with Year Books and end of year party.
  • Working with the school to improve the literature for reading schemes as well as stocking the library.

Birthday Book Club

The Birthday Book Club (BBC) is a scheme whereby you select and pay for a brand-new book for your child’s birthday from a list the BBC team have, then around the time of your child's birthday, they are given the book to read and then the book is placed in the library for all to enjoy. A book plate is placed in the front of the book so children using the library know who has donated it. To join, please apply online by 1st October 2021.
